Tasting Notes
Aromas of grapefruit and vanilla intertwine sensually with a slight lift of ginger. Showing its barrel influence, flavors of cinnamon-dusted baked apple and lemon meringue are satisfyingly persistent.
Winemaker Notes
Sauvignon Blanc is truly an international grape, finding a home in such disparate regions as Bordeaux, the Loire Valley, New Zealand, California and Chile. While there is merit to all different styles, for our Reserve bottling, we hew to the classical Bordeaux style. That means using just the right amount of barrel aging to bring new layers of complexity to the lovely fruit we harvest from the Halter Ranch Vineyard just a few hundred yards down the road from our Estate.
