Sauvignon Blanc 2018

Sauvignon Blanc 2018

She stood at the fork in the road as the vicious wind threatened to tear the cape off of her back. The ancient stone sign sitting in the center of the fork said “Choose one.” She scowled at the sign, drew her cape tighter, and in one practiced motion deftly kicked the old stone onto the damp ground below. Taking a long stride, she stepped over the sign and began walking, directly between the two paths.

Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
A flintiness and bright acidity balance a lovely richness of body highlighted by yellow apple and white peach.
Winemaker Notes
Sauvignon Blanc shows its beauty in its diversity. A top example from the Loire Valley in northwestern France might show a bracing acidity and flint character where a compatriot from Bordeaux, balmier and warmer towards the south, might show creamy pear and a silky soft texture. This is a noble variety, parent to the legendary Cabernet Sauvignon and capable of so much greatness. It is always an excellent choice for Temecula Valley, with ours choosing a central path of styles.
Food Pairing Notes
Pairing with grilled fennel crusted oysters or a Wine Country Salad topped with a dollop of creamy Chevre might turn our heroine’s scowl into a grin of satisfaction.
