Montepulciano 2018
The rooster crowed as the sun rose, but the man had already been out in the vines for hours, carefully tending his grapes and dropping any that looked less than perfect to the ground. He stopped and smiled as the rooster crowed again, “time for breakfast,” he thought as he trudged back toward the old stone house.

Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Captivating the nose with complex aromas of pomegranate, autumn leaves, and brandied cherries. On the palate savory notes of exotic spices are tempered by a slightly jammy flavor of plum. This culminates in a balancing acidity that leaves a pleasant tingle lingering, beckoning the taster to enjoy another sample.
Winemaker Notes
We take pride in working our vines in a manner of putting quality at the forefront of our efforts. At low crop yields, sometimes less than half of what comparable vines are asked to produce, we are making the effort to bring in only the most pristine and high-quality grapes. This effort shows in the continuing excellence of our Montepulciano, a variety that routinely scores 90 points or higher from the most discerning wine critics. The elegant 2018 vintage is no break from this proud tradition.
Food Pairing Notes
While fabulous on its own this wine begs to join a Maccheroni alla Chitarra with Ragù Abruzzese at your table.
