The wine shows fresh aromas of raspberries, violets, lavender and herbs; velvety, fruity and harmonious on the palate.
Dolcetto is a native grape of Piedmont, Italy and the name means "little sweet one" although wines from Dolcetto
are normally dry.
The grapes for this Dolcetto came from the Mainerdo Estate Vineyards in the Barbaresco area, which is a small town in the Piedmont region of northern Italy, an ancient wine producing area considered by many to be the “Burgundy of Italy.”
Mainerdo Estate was established in 1920 by Giovanni Mainerdo, and it’s now run by his children and grandchildren combining sustainable farming with the most modern technologies.
Food Pairing Notes
