This wine presents a complex and elegant bouquet of mixed red flowers, black currants, patchouli, and sweet tobacco. The palate is dry and full bodied, with a long finish, and the relatively low alcohol makes it easy to pair with food.
2014 was a drought year throughout California resulting in lower yields, but the growing season in Sonoma was excellent for Cabernet producing dense and concentrated fruit. These highly concentrated flavors were the premise to our elegant and structured wine, almost European in style. Barrel aging in new French oak further contributed to consolidate the Old World character of this very unique 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, a wine that faithfully delivers all the distinct features of the varietal and shows great aging potential.
