Tasting Notes
Aromas of black cherry and anise make the mouth water upon first examination. On the palate, initial flavors of soft, jammy raspberry evolve into a peppery, freshly acidic finish so typical of this excellent variety.
Winemaker Notes
Barbera is widely grown in Northern Italy but is particularly popular in the Asti, Alba and Monferrato zones. While all these wines are great, none is necessarily better, just different based on the unique terroirs in which they are grown. Our Barbera seeks to channel some of our favorite vineyards in Temecula Valley to deliver the best expression of the variety we can muster.
