Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Aromas of honey-dipped apricot and orange peel. These heady aromas flow beautifully into flavors of golden apple and just a hint of almond as it coats the palate.
Winemaker Notes
Like a prism, Arneis is a variety that can be viewed, as well as grown, produced, and enjoyed, in many different ways. Once extremely rare, this grape is now gaining a foothold in its native Northern Italy, as well as across the New World. While some examples can be extremely light and simple, we choose to honor the original style of this wine as it is produced in Roero, the small corner of the Cuneo province in which it originated. That means that this is an intensely flavorful wine with rich ripe fruit dominating the tasting experience. In this extremely small lot bottling, just under eighty cases were produced.
Food Pairing Notes
It’s hard to think of a better way to start an Italian dinner than with this wine and a tarragon cream drizzled orecchiette pasta.
