Aleatico Rosé 2021
The small wildflowers swayed softly in the spring breeze. A lone honeybee visited one flower, gathering pollen, before moving on to the next. Before long a companion joined him, helping to guarantee that more of the little flowers would continue to bloom in the meadow for seasons to come…

On the nose, it carries a wave of blood orange and candied cherry, hinting at Sangria. On the palate, it is soft and approachable, with citrus and strawberry flavors finishing in a pleasing sweetness.
Aleatico is known as a favorite of Napoleon Bonaparte during his exile on the island of Elba, which has a climate quite similar to what we experience here in the Temecula Valley. Throughout Italy, Aleatico is a supremely versatile grape, making all different styles of wine. We love crafting it into a rosé, where it shows a unique complexity not found in many simpler styles. The intense color of this wine radiates from the glass, conveying the fact that Aleatico is thicker-skinned than some other grapes used for rosé production.
Food Pairing Notes
Delightful to enjoy with a fruit salad, particularly when a few pomegranate seeds are sprinkled in.
