Albariño 2019

The young woman adjusted her straw hat to ward off the ever-vigilant sun. She stared out at the tranquil sea and looked down at her equally motionless fishing rod. Sighing she settled back down into her crouch. Just as a gust of wind brought a refreshing calm the rod dipped downward with a noticeable twitch. With a practiced hand, she grabbed the rod and pulled up, setting the hook in firmly. Smiling she thought, “tonight we will feast on the fruits of the ocean.”

Tasting Notes
Albariño is one of the great coastal wine grapes of the world, a natural for the Mediterranean climate found in our estate vineyards. This golden-hued Albariño recalls the sea with aromas of seaspray, mineral, lemon crème, and baked apples, with just a tiny touch of astringent caper to balance it out. Extremely soft and delicate on the palate, this wine has mouth-filling flavors of baked yellow apple with a delightfully smooth and approachable texture.
Winemaker Notes
Albariño originates from the Galicia Region in the northwest of Spain and has garnered worldwide acclaim due to the fruit’s distinctive Asian spice and fresh flower aromatics.
Food Pairing Notes
The perfect pairing for the scallops in romesco sauce at the Bolero Restaurante!
