A Taste of France with Matt Rice - Wine and Cheese Pairings

Have some cheese with that wine! Wine Education and Cheese Pairing with our very own Director of Tasting Rooms Matt Rice, Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW) and California Wine Appellation Specialist (CWAS).

Comté Cheese
One of the great cow’s milk cheeses. Sometimes referred to as Gruyère. Waxy and slightly oily.

Roquefort Cheese
From sheep's milk, this is one of the best blue cheeses in the world. Intense but silky smooth. Blue veins integrate incredibly well with the rest of the cheese, giving no “salty” residual.

Saint-André Cheese
Triple crème. Ultra buttery and slightly sweet.

Chèvre Cheese
Fresh creamy goat cheese.

Époisses Cheese
A pungent aged Brie type cheese. Washed and beautiful rind that is brushed with salt and distilled grape skins and pulp “Marc.”

Each cheese paired with French and French-inspired wines.
