Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Dandelion, cashew, and dried apricot waft from the glass and quickly garner the attention of the lucky taster. On the palate, it delivers a refreshing peach and wood sorrel enriched acidity to match a surprisingly full body.
Winemaker Notes
Verdelho had been a strictly regional grape, used mostly to produce fortified wines, for many centuries. Now, after so many winemakers have noticed its complexity and balance, is it starting to spread around the world and be made into dry white wines. This example makes a great case for the future of this once-obscure variety.
Food Pairing Notes
An excellent choice for quiche or, if you happen to be visiting the Bolero Restaurante, Patatas Bravas!
