Tasting Notes
In the glass, it is delicate, yet fascinatingly complex, with aromas of strawberry and candied cherry lifted by a hint of barrel spices. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, with silky red fruits framing a zesty acidity and polished, creamy tannin.
Winemaker Notes
Sangiovese is one of our favorite grape varieties in our estate vineyards, with each vine delivering a superb homage to their Tuscan forebears. Occasionally, when we think the production of the vines warrants the decision, we select the very best barrels we have in our cellar and bottle a special reserve offering. This fantastic new addition, selected from two plantings reflecting a variety of exposures to the wind and sun, delivers a worthy companion to the great Sangioveses of the world.
