Delicate notes of rose petals, cherries and red berries are well complemented by scents of ocean mist. Elegant and subtle on the palate, fresh and persistent on the finish.
This fruit comes from a perfectly manicured and incredibly picturesque hillside vineyard overlooking the valley in Santa Rita Hills. Since our terroir is not well suited for this star varietal, we at Europa Village bring you the best fruit from the best AVA in California. Bottled early while bright and fresh and while it’s ready to drink now, it will continue to evolve and drink well for next five to seven years. Pinot Noir is often described as having a red wine profile and a white wine style, making it a perfect varietal to introduce a new palate to primarily white wine drinkers.
Food Pairing Notes
With great acidity, lighter body, and silky tannins due to the thinner skin of the grape itself, Pinot Noir is said by many to be the world's most versatile, food-friendly red wine. Ours certainly fits the bill and pairs easily with everything from Chévre and Brie with walnuts, to filet mignon with mushrooms and pinot noir sauce, to oven roasted salmon filets, to chocolate covered cherries.
