Bouquet of maraschino cherries, dried rose petals, rosemary and bitters. Soft and ripe fruit starts on the palate and finishes with a pleasant dryness that lingers on.
This fruit comes from a perfectly manicured and incredibly picturesque hillside vineyard overlooking the valley in Santa Rita Hills. Since our terroir is not well suited for this star varietal, we at Europa Village bring you the best fruit from the best AVA in California. Bottled early while bright and fresh, we’ve held it in the bottle for and additional year of aging prior to release. While ready to drink now, it will continue to evolve and will drink well for next five to seven years. Pinot Noir is often described as having a red wine profile and a white wine style, making it a perfect varietal to introduce a new palate to primarily white wine drinkers.
Food Pairing Notes
With great acidity, lighter body, and silky tannins due to the thinner skin of the grape itself, Pinot Noir is said by many to be the world's most versatile, food-friendly red wine. Ours certainly fits the bill and pairs easily with everything from cheese pairings of Brie, Camembert, Gruyere, and goat cheese, to chocolate covered strawberries, Peking Duck, and Roasted Beef Tenderloin.
