Tasting Notes
Aromas of black sage translate the Temecula terroir beautifully, with the slightly resinous aroma giving way to dark fruits. On the palate it is impressively powerful, with flavors of coffee and blackberry jam meshing with high levels of tannin and acidity, showing the aging potential of this bottling.

Winemaker Notes
Petite Sirah gets its name from the comparatively small size of the berries found in each cluster of grapes. Though these berries are small, their thick skins, where all of the color and almost all of the flavor of the wine derive, and a small amount of juice mean that they produce a dark and powerful wine imbued with rich tannin and high levels of acidity. This superb Reserve bottling, harvested from the excellent Johnson Family Vineyard, shows the nobility of a grape that is sometimes overshadowed by Syrah, Zinfandel, and Cabernet.
Food Pairing Notes
A well-glazed rack of ribs is a great compliment to this delightful Petite Sirah.
