Complex bouquet of mixed wild berries, violets, wet earth and mocha; velvety entrance on the palate rising to a flourish of spices followed by not fully tamed tannins that will last. A firm and silky wine, medium bodied, tight and polished with a nice energy. The tannins are well balanced by the red fruits of the Cabernet, the violets of the Sangiovese & Pugnitello, and the spice of the Syrah.

We imported this delicious Grand Tuscan after meeting several wine professionals at our Italian “Meet the Winemaker” Dinner last year. This Indicazione Goeographica, Tipica (IGT) wine is made in Maremma, Italy by Paolo Caciorgna, the acclaimed Tuscan enologist who makes wines for stellar estates like Montalcino's Altesino and La Serena as well as for music stars Sting and Andrea Bocelli. The Maremma territory extends past the borders of Tuscany into Latium with testimonies of a majestic and grand Etruscan past.
