Winemaker Notes
Nebbiolo is said to translate from ‘la nebbia,’ which is Piedmontese for ‘the fog.’ Much like in Piedmont, we experience regular fogs in our vineyards here in Temecula Valley, which gives this legendary grape a great ability to produce wines of great character. The 2020 vintage, from vines only producing their second crop, was rated as the Best of Region Red Wine at the California State Fair, besting all other red wines from all of Southern California. We feel the 2021 is even better.
