Tasting Notes
Hauntingly elegant and pure aromas of raspberry purée and violet are lively and vibrant, matching the gorgeous purple hue of this special wine. On the palate, there is a zesty acidity, interplaying perfectly with flavors of chocolate drizzled plum and a polished, fine tannin.
Winemaker Notes
Year after year we are amazed and humbled at the prowess and potential of the classical Italian Montepulciano grape to produce fantastically balanced and complex wines in our vineyards here in the picturesque Temecula Valley. The 2020 vintage, marked by such chaotic events in the outside world, proved a magical one for our Montepulciano vines. A wine of depth and power, we afforded this wine the better part of three years aging in small oak barrels to give the best overall balance.
