From the heart of Italy, Umbria, comes this incredibly rare and mesmerizingly flavorful Montefalco Rosso. Montefalco is known for making wines using blends of the intensely tannic and powerful Sagrantino grape variety. For this selection we have a wine that blends the trademark Sagrantino power, earth and tannin with the bright red fruits of the inherent Italian favorite, Sangiovese. Finally we see a bit of Merlot added to give the wine plushness and elegance, completing what we feel is one of the finest and most unknown Italian red wines produced today.
