The golden juice gently dripped out of the old wooden press into the small catch basin below as the old man and his son watched. “Papa, can’t we press faster? This will take all day!” he exclaimed. “No, my son, we cannot, for pressing hard and fast yields a flood of anonymity, pressing slowly gives us droplets of joy.” The son shook his head and sat down, waiting on the droplets of joy to make their way down.

Tasting Notes
Vanillin aromas, which so perfectly compliment the meyer lemon and white floral nuances wafting from the glass. On the palate, it is creamy and layered, with flavors of melon and peach framed by the small wave of tropical fruits contributed by the Muscat.
Winemaker Notes
This special wine, created as a unique blend of Grenache Blanc, Roussanne and just a hint of Muscat, is inspired by two wines. The first are the Super Tuscans, wines that blend grapes not native to Tuscany with some that are to create a wine they felt was better than the traditional style that forbade any outside grapes to be used in the blend. The second are the wines of Montecarlo, a breathtakingly beautiful small village located near Pisa. In Montecarlo, Roussanne is one of the main grapes allowed in the blend, but we felt we could make an even more unique rendition replacing the dominant Trebbiano Toscano with Grenache Blanc, and adding the small amount of Muscat for a lift of tropical aromas. We finished this wine with a short stay in oak, which added a wave of complexity.
