Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
The stone fruits, lychee and white flower aromas develop on the palate into grapefruit with a zesty acidity that endlessly tingles the gums.
Winemaker Notes
This grape like the Muscat family exhibits many “sweet” phenolics. We fermented the fruit in stainless steel and appropriately left a tiny amount of residual sugar resulting in a tremendously fragrant off-dry wine. When most people hear Gewurztraminer they think of the wine regions of Germany, but the varietal originates from the Alsace region of France.
Food Pairing Notes
Pair with a classic Alsace dish - a rich tarte flambé made with ham and Gruyère, or with Asian food of all kinds.
