High above the old vines a jet flew, climbing high as it took its passengers to some far off location. Below the vines sat, just as they had one hundred years prior, when only birds flew above. The young woman carefully pruning one looked up at the plane and pondered, “I wonder what will be flying over these vines one hundred years from now.” After pondering for a moment she smiled and thought, “I suppose it doesn’t matter for me, but the vines will be here to see it,” and then went back to her work.

Tasting Notes
Petite Sirah delivers a wave of dark fruit and bold tannin. Grenache adds a lift of bright red berry fruits and balancing acidity. Syrah contributes black pepper spice and a hint of jamminess. Small inclusions of Cinsault and Mourvèdre lend a savory boost to the blend, culminating in what we feel is our best En Vie yet.
Winemaker Notes
Our homage to the finest wines of the south of France is En Vie, a special blend of grapes that changes yearly based on what Mother Nature provides for our vineyards. In 2022 we saw a particularly excellent vintage for Petite Sirah, which comprises the core of this wine.
