Tasting Notes
On the nose, those hard-working tiny bubbles waft aromas of tart apple and fresh brioche. On the palate, it is crisply refreshing, with a graceful citrus flavor lingering on the palate long after the wine is gone.
Winemaker Notes
Sparkling wines are enjoyed by so many around the world, but the widely available variety is quite narrow. At Europa Village, we always aspire to bring a journey of discovery and education with each wine we present. This fantastic Cremant de Loire is one of the best instances of that desire for discovery. Produced in the charming commune of Montlouis-sur-Loire along the Loire River, this extremely limited-production wine is made by a husband and wife team who have farmed their vineyard for more than 40 years. Produced in the traditional method, with a long, slow secondary fermentation in each bottle to deliver charmingly tiny bubbles, this cuvee is composed of 100% Chenin Blanc, the noble white grape of the Loire Valley.
