Raspberry, Cardamom and faint sweet pipe tobacco aromas. On the palate it’s warm and silky, with pleasant anise that lingers. Soft and surprisingly youthful yet with no sharp edges.
Cinsaut is one of the most planted grape varieties in Southern France and can also be found scattered around Italy and Eastern Europe. First imported to California in the 1860s, it is most often used as a blending grape (as in our En Vie blend) because it easily produces a large crop of 10 tons per acre. Our philosophy at Europa of quality over quantity means we managed the block to yield just 4 tons per acre. At this low level it produces quite flavorful wines with penetrating aromas, soft tannins, and light color. We are proud to present this unique offering in the Temecula Valley.
