Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
A vibrant medium pink in the glass, tiny bubbles carry aromas of brioche and rose petal swiftly out of the glass. On the palate the acidity is fresh and lively, carrying flavors of strawberry through to a surprisingly rich body.
Winemaker Notes
One of our favorite traditions of the Magellan Series is to carefully select a special Rosé Champagne for our holiday shipments. Rosé Champagne is exceedingly rare, accounting for less than 10 percent of Champagne production. For centuries Champagne has occupied a special place in the world of wine. The fine bubbles, unique growing region, and blend of vintages achieve a consistently beautiful style that so many other places in the world attempt to match, but none can quite achieve. While most Champagne is white, we are excited to offer this extremely rare and beautiful Rosé Champagne. Grown in the southerly reaches of the Aube subregion and made in a former church building with usage dating from the 12th century, this delightful wine carries an extra richness and a plush feel when compared to those that come from more northern growing areas.
Food Pairing Notes
It is a delight with so many foods, but most at home with juicy roasted turkey and your closest friends and family.
