Cabernet Sauvignon 2016 Winemaker's Reserve

The vigneron carefully carried his baby son down the spiral staircase into the old stone cellar. He stopped as he reached the wine he had just bottled, from the hallowed previous vintage. The bottles rested peacefully, neatly stacked in a perfect cube. He looked down at his son, smiling, and gestured to the worn wooden table in the center of the room, flanked by two chipped and weathered wicker chairs. "Twenty years from now we will sit and I will tell you about the song the grapes sung the year that God blessed me with you."

Tasting Notes
If ever a wine was to sing, it would be this one. A heavenly homage to the great wines of the Medoc, this dark and brooding Cabernet stuns with piercing aromas of graphite, vanilla, blackberry and white pepper. It attacks elegantly with a persistent and round acidity as the black cherry, forest floor and palate coating jamminess flavors of this magical Cabernet resolve into a huge but sweet tannin.
Food Pairing Notes
A wine that is made for the cellar, just as our vigneron knows, this calls for the finest prime rib one can summon, or something even harder to command, patience.
